I love the PVC fashion trend. Transparent PVC accessories bare all, leave nothing to the imagination and captivate onlookers. Suitable for skinnies only, PVC clothing is risky on even the perfect body - it sticks to your skin and if you sweat, it's gonna show (gross)! PVC transparent bags however, are the easier choice for this trend.

PVC, also referred to as shiny vinyl can be produced in any shade and is not necessarily transparent. Often confused with patent leather, this synthetic material has high fashion potential, but be careful, it can look kinda trashy if not donned properly. Here's a few designer PVC accessories for inspiration..

This black and gold-tone Dolce & Gabbana Gomma + Ricamo PVC Bag (available at Farfetch) is perfect! AND I WANT IT! The black PVC cage design has pom pom embellishments and a gold-tone D&G logo plaque on the front. I have respect for anyone who dares to wear transparent shoes. They look insanely uncomfortable and don't most feet sweat - I just imagine my feet sliding around (eww). These graphite-gray semi-transparent pumps have a soft branded insole and three small holes along the side for ventilation (brilliant). These high-heeled shoes are gorgeous and blend nicely with the modern, monochromatic fashion theme. 

I'm a huge fan of printed clothing and accessories, especially if the message is meaningful. This MM6 Maison Margiela Charity Capsule Shopper Tote (available at Farfetch) is one of many pieces in the latest charity capsule collection in support of the French charity Aides. These are the days that have me smiling until my face hurts. There's no feeling like shopping one of your favorite designer boutiques in one of your favorite cities (New York) and walking the streets with your shopping bag(s). The sales representatives always ask if I want my bags delivered to my hotel and I say "NO, strutting my new purchases around town is part of the fun".

There are benefits - Donning one designer shopping bag entices sales reps in other stores to treat you like royalty - otherwise, they'll probably ignore you! As soon as you walk through the door, you're analyzed, judged and either celebrated or shunned.

I know I seem superficial and I DON'T CARE! I save all my monetary gifts (my husband says bills make the best gift), research endlessly in advance and usually parade Greene Street on a mission. Sometimes, I pre-order and schedule to pick up in the store, rather than having the item delivered. I want the in-store, VIP experience. Which, should absolutely include champagne - Shame on you Fendi - Soho!

I'm obsessed with perusing designer sites and take pride in my vast knowledge of what's new and trendy. I'm a master at finding hard-to-get designer products and often have friends abroad purchase bags and mail them to me. YES, I'm ridiculous, addicted to fashion AND I have great friends!

The thrill of procuring a limited edition and limited quantity available designer item is hardly describable. That joy is elevated when I purchase in-store. I think most people feel good about purchasing new things, we just all have different desires and needs. Mine happens to be handbags and shoes. My father was in the handbag/luggage industry, so it's no surprise that I would become obsessed with fashion, especially handbags. I also have a strong desire to collect luggage?!

There are many things in life that make me happy, BUT only a mini spree at my favorite designer stores prompt me to get up in the middle of the night to appreciate my purchases. Some things keep a girl awake at night! I'm very fortunate that my insomnia is sometimes a result of awe-inspiring gifts from my husband.

My favorite and absolute BEST accessory is my little fur baby, Teddy the Bear. He's a Toy Poodle, looks like a fluffy bear and loves fashion. His closet is overflowing, and of course matches his mommy's fashion style. Teddy just turned two - here's a look back on his doggy fashion..

Teddy's first trip to New York City. My little guy survived two days of rain in his blue Fabdog packway raincoat. We spent most of the time in our hotel room watching Pets!

Yes, there was a time when Teddy was a doggy nudist! I never intended to be a dog mom that dresses her dog. I thought it was ridiculous! BUT, then the winter weather came and he was cold. So began the winter wardrobe..

Teddy loves wearing clothes. I can hold up options and he will choose his favorite. Hoodies are a must and we always match. Teddy is wearing an American Apparel dog hoodie and blue Puppia sports harness.

Surprisingly, Teddy is willing and happy to wear hats! This is my Fenty X Puma trapper's hat. He loves anything furry and fluffy (like mommy). Admittedly, it was hard to snap the perfect photo, while he was trying to eat the hat.

Baby bear in a Gucci tote! Teddy and I are loving the buffalo check trend. I have a bag, he has a vest and Daddy has a hat! We look ridiculous walking down the street in matching outfits! Animal lovers - don't be upset that he's in a tote! Teddy is a dog model and loved every moment of this photo shoot.

Enter the boots. I read that you should condition your dog to boots at an early age, so when Teddy was a baby, he often wore socks at home. When it came time to put boots on, he didn't make a fuss. Teddy makes wearing doggy boots look easy AND he has four pairs!

Of course, Teddy has too many winter vests. Green, blue, camo.. He's well equipped for the cold weather. Dog parents - please protect your dogs from the cold and salt. I see so many dogs with no coat and no protection on their paws (the parents are bundled up though).

T-shirts are a must! Teddy has a HUGE selection of t-shirts in many colors, with cute sayings. This green and camo t-shirt says BOSS (fitting). We've almost worn this one out.

Teddy's birthday t-shirt says BRUNCH BACON BOOZE. Of course he had bacon on his b-day, but NO BOOZE! Teddy had the best birthday a two year old bear can ask for. He wore his tuxedo bow tie and cuffs all day. The hat was bait of a struggle - it makes a crinkle sound and he loves playing with it.

That was my fashion tribute to Teddy the Bear. I didn't think I would become one of those dog parents, BUT I'm happy I did. My little bear never leaves the house without a careful curated outfit!

I LOVE this Fendi Peekaboo mini pocket suede handbag (available at Fendi). The Peekaboo style is one of my favorites and the reinvented bag with exterior multipurpose pockets is brilliant. The juxtaposition of the soft and luxurious suede and smooth, structured leather gives this bag a feminine, military vibe. The green leather against the sand suede with gold-finish metalware is the perfect color combination. 

This small handbag has two compartments inside, separated by a stiff partition. The Peekoboo style comes with a detachable crossbody strap - I like to accessorize my handbags with straps from the Fendi Strap You collection. Of course, I gifted this Peekaboo handbag to myself! 

The word "Clothing" in many languages listed down the front of this Vetements t-shirt (available at MyTheresa) and up the back is intriguing. The super oversized cotton t-shirt makes a simple statement - clothing! Tucked in high-waisted trousers or worn loose over fitted pants with chic high-heeled booties, this t-shirt says "cool girl". 

I'm obsessed with these MIU MIU pink fur slip-on sandals (available at Farfetch). The printed cotton vamp dons white mohair giving these sandals a flirty, feminine vibe. I love the contemporary, feminine spirit of this brand AND have to have these sandals..

Another one of my favorites is Moschino. The brand is playful and synonymous with the bear print. The 3D-like "This Is Not A Moschino Toy" print against the pink t-shirt dress (available at Farfetch) is feminine, but with a little edge - a safety pin infected bear is kinda morbid! I love this shade of pink and am a huge fan of the ever-changing bear print. Moschino t-shirts and t-shirt dresses are high-quality. The cotton is medium weight and soft. I may or may not have a few!

I'm a sneaker kinda girl and usually opt for basic white kicks, but I'll make an exception for these Moschino logo print sneakers (available at Farfetch) . These basic white leather sneakers showcase the Moschino logo along with the leather and white rubber sole. Moschino is one of the few brands that print the logo on the clothing and accessories that I will wear. I would pair these sneakers with chic sweatpants or a t-shirt dress. Maybe even with a super-feminine Zimmerman dress.

One of my first brand obsessions - Jil Sander. I've since moved on, but this Jil Sander transparent shopper tote (available at Farfetch) has sparked my interest again. This grocery bag-like tote has a front zip pocket, with the Jil Sander logo. Transparent bags are tricky - you gotta be mindful of what you display in there. I suggest a neutral cosmetic bag to hold all of your handbag essentials. I gotta have this one..
