During Fall and Winter, I don my signature pistachio and salted caramel scent by Sol de Janeiro. The scent is warm, yummy and anything but floral. In keeping with the spirit of nutty scents, this Spring and summer, I'm loading up on Coconut scented cosmetics and flavored products. I am a HUGE fan of coconut (anything coconut). I LOVE fresh coconut water - I put it in my smoothies or drink it straight up (and maybe with a little rum). The sweet, nutty aroma is alluring and reminds me of the beach. I've comprised a list of coconut scented and flavored products that you will get you into the summer groove.. and escape from the end of winter, 'please make it stop' blues. Sephora has a small line-up of coconut infused products, AND they're amazing. Sephora Coconut Water Dry Shampoo and Coconut Dry Conditioner are my favorite in-between washes solution. The dry shampoo smells great, goes on light and doesn't leave a great amount of residue. Often dry shampoo leaves your hair feeling dirty - not this stuff. Sephora Coconut Water Dry Shampoo is probably not as effective as the most dry shampoos, but it does a good job without leaving our hair feeling gross. I use this for a little extra volume after washing my hair. AND the sent is delicious. Sephora Coconut Dry Conditioner nourishes and repairs your strands. The solution is silky and kind of oily, BUT there's no oily residue and it absorbs nicely. Apply the Coconut Water Dry Shampoo to your roots and Coconut Dry Conditioner from mid-length to ends for more resistant, hydrated, shinier hair. Sephora Coconut Water Cleaning Wipes are my favorite facial wipe. I wash my face with cleansing oil in the AM and facial soap at night, but these wipes are perfect for refreshing your neck and décolletage in between. I wash my hair every three days, so my ears and hairline don't get scrubbed under my shower cap. These wipes allow me to clean and refresh without wetting my hair. The moist wipes smell fresh and sweet. The solution is non-oily and leaves your skin feeling clean. LOVE! I've mentioned the Sephora Coconut Water Lip Balm a few times and highly recommend the inexpensive lip treatment. It smells great, the texture is thick but silky and the solution leaves your lips feeling hydrated and protected. I'm a lip balm fanatic (among other things) and this one is in my top five must-have lip balms. Don't be discourage by the cheap'ish' packaging, this product is high-quality. Coconut scented sunscreen is the epitome of vacation on the beach - unless you opt for the 'doctor recommended' scent-free product, then you just smell like medicated cream (no judgement). I want to smell like coconuts all summer long. The scent is sweet and feminine. AND research shows that people (especially men) are attracted to sweet scents. Who doesn't love the smell of baked cookies?! Another great travel product is Kopari Coconut Balm. The thick solution is coconut-oil infused and super nourishing. This pure coconut balm contains coconut oil, shea concentrate, aloe vera, beeswax and cocoa seed butter. This salve has anti-ageing benefits and hydrating qualities. It goes on nicely, kind of absorbs, but leaves a little sheen on your skin. I wouldn't wear this coconut balm under expensive fabric. The scent is delicious - coconut (with an emphasis on the nutty). Cocofloss Fresh Coconuts flavored floss smells amazing. The soft, waxed coated floss contains coconut oil and coconut fragrance. The floss texture is nice and leaves your teeth feeling clean and refreshed. Cocofloss has three other floss flavors - Delicious Mint, Pure Strawberries and Cara Cara Orange. Fresh Coconuts is my favorite and goes nicely with my HiSmile coconut flavored mouthwash. This coconut flavored, whitening mouthwash is interesting to say the least - AND, oh so yummy! Squeeze 1/3 of the tube into your mouth and swish. The thick solution becomes thin and oily as you squish it around. The transition is a nice sensation in your mouth. The coconut oil utilizes the method of oil pulling to extract toxins and the Sodium Bicarbonate whitens your teeth. This stuff is amazing! I love HiSmile whitening products (so does everyone else on social media). This small product line took over Instagram with the no pain or sensitivity whitening system. The LED light and rubber-like mouth tray fit nicely and brighten your smile naturally. I've tried similar whitening systems, but this one reigns supreme. ![]()

Move over Bobbi Brown - Benefit Cosmetics has swiftly become one of my favorite brands. The high-quality makeup comes in fun, feminine packaging AND 'some' of the makeup scents are delicious (others - not so much). Scented makeup may not be for everyone (I'm sensitive to smells), but sometimes a light scent on your face and décolletage is nice. If you are sensitive, this palette is not for you - it stinks (in a perfume stinky kinda way)! The Blush Bar palette has six full-size bronzers and blushes. Three of which have an embellished imprint - I love that! GALifornia, Gold Rush and Rocketeer are three different, but equally beautiful blush shades. The GALifornia is my favorite. It's the perfect coral shade for summer. Gold Rush is a light neutral shade - a warm golden-nectar blush with a radiant finish. Rockateer is a rose gold cheek powder. Dandelion is a brightening baby-pink blush for the perfect soft, flushed look. AND the Hoola matte bronzer is light, buildable and gives you the perfect sun kissed look. This palette has everything you need to brighten and bronze your face. The powders blend nicely and the Blush Bar comes with a Benefit Cosmetics signature 'Tips and Tricks' booklet. There is also a signature mini powder brush. I'm not a fan of this brush and prefer to use a different blush brush for each shade. That aside, this blush and bronzer Blush Bar is a perfectly curated powder palette for summer. ![]()
Sol de Janeiro, the brand behind my signature scent, has created Brazilian Touch Hand Cream AND it's amazing! Sol de Janeiro body products smell like pistachio and salted caramel. I get so many compliments on my 'perfume', but it's Sol de Janeiro Brazilian BUM BUM Cream. The scent is delicious. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream has a similar texture to the Bum Bum Cream, but is slightly lighter. It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly. The Sol de Janeiro scent is strong and while I do love it on my body, it's a bit too intense for a hand cream. The Cupuacu Buter is hydrating, Acai rich in antioxidants, Coconut Oil nourishes your cuticles and he Brazil nut aids in strong, healthy nails. It's the perfect hand cream recipe, BUT the scent is overpowering. I'll use this little tube of cream on my body - its the perfect travel size. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter is one of my favorite lip balms - I have one in my bathroom, one at my computer and one in my handbag! The light, creamy texture is nourishing and the tube is BIG, so it will last a long time. This super-hydrating lip balm is a must have. The pistachio-caramel scent of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is AMAZING! The scent is strong, but sweet and intriguing. The cream is super-nourishing and has a slight shimmer that gives your skin a subtle glow. Perfume often gives me a headache, but of course I wanna smell nice - this body cream is my signature scent and the scent is delicious. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist is the same yummy scent of the cream, but in a light body mist. The original bottle is HUGE and now there's a mini (which is still kinda big). You're gonna want to surround yourself with this scent. You don't need a spritz if you're wearing Bum Bum body cream (unless you're one of those overpowering scented people), but it's great for evening scent touch ups. ![]()
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The functional bucket bag style handbag is having an extended fashion moment these last few seasons. This style has been around a long time, but as of late, is making a big comeback and gracing the arms of models and celebrities. The bucket bag is roomy and depending on the size can carry lots of day-to-night essentials. This style comes in all sizes - XS to XL. The larger styles are perfect for carrying all your airplane essentials. Here's a short list of bucket bag styles for inspiration. The Roxy denim cage mini bucket bag by Alexander Wang (available at Farfetch) is cute but edgy. The cage is bleached denim, as well as the denim bike chain style attachment that goes over the round top handles for closure. Mansur Gabriel is often credited for bringing back the bucket bag (this time). The light pink shade of this leather Mansur Gabriel bucket bag (available at Mytheresa) is perfect for Spring/Summer. This bucket bag is small-medium size, has an adjustable strap and leather drawstring. It's simple, functional and chic. Jil Sander was one of my first designer obsessions. True to the brand, the esthetic remains simple and chic. This Jil Sander white leather bucket tote (available at Farfetch) is medium-sized and can hold lots of stuff. The structured bag has small top handles and inside pockets. LOVE! I often peruse the Louis Vuitton Vintage selection on Farfetch. I can't afford anything, but a girl can dream. The Louis Vuitton Vintage fringed bucket tote is festival-chic. The small bucket bag is structured and dons the iconic Lous Vuitton print under the multicolored fringe with beads. Are you sitting down? You should - this vintage bag (so, it is preowned) costs $8,948! The camel shade of this leather bucket bag by Mansur Gabriel (available at Mytheresa) is classic. The vegetable-tanned leather is gorgeous and the interior is the same light pink shade as the light pink style. Mansur Gabriel bags are simple but timeless. This MIU MIU leather bucket bag (available at NET-A-PORTER) is rectangular shaped, with waved edges. The white leather is hand painted and although MIU MIU styles usually don jewels and embellishment, this classic bag only has a little polished silver hardware - 'MIU MIU'. This bucket bag has no closure and a matching zipped pouch inside. ![]()
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm a self-proclaimed professional web browser. Every morning, I peruse all my favorite fashion and beauty sites 'new arrivals' section. I have a massive library of clothing, accessories and beauty products stored in my brain at any given time. Every now and then I come across a new brand and get a little obsessed. My latest brand obsession is Unravel Project. This streetwear brand consists of deconstructed wardrobe essentials. The distressed fabrics and unique detailing take an otherwise basic staple and make it modern-chic. ![]()
I have 'officially' (nothing I declare is really official) branded It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Correcting cream the 'anti-redness warpaint'. If you have Rosacea or hyper pigmentation, this stuff is going to change your life. I desperately needed a solution to my rosy cheeks, nose and forehead. I use medicated creams, but my angry skin flares up on the daily. AND, I'm not about to stop eating spicy food and drinking wine (major flare-up culprits). Bye Bye Redness by IT Cosmetics deserves an award. It's kind of a foundation, primer and cream in one. Bye Bye Redness is thick, has a silky texture and gives you super full-coverage. This product is smooth, goes on like a primer (similar to Colorscience primers), and has a tinge of green (to combat redness). Apply to your cheeks, nose and forehead, and blend outwards. A little goes a long way. The embarrassing redness is gone. GONE! Without a doubt, this is the product find of 2017! Another anti-redness product by It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Redness Moisturizer. I don't think this stuff eliminates redness, but the product feels amazing on your skin. The green-toned facial cream is medium-heavy, has a fresh scent and really gives your skin a hydration boost. I don't see a change in my rosy cheeks, nose and forehead, but I still love this product for its intense moisturizing qualities. AND, my skin is crazy angry - everything makes my dreaded rosy hue come to surface. Bye Bye Redness Moisturizer is a must-have in my morning (pre-makeup routine) routine. Yeah, I have two morning routines! I guess I have too much time on my hands. It Cosmetics is quickly becoming one of my go-to brands. The cult favorite cosmetic lineup has yet to disappoint. I LOVE this Your Je Ne Se Quoi Complexion Perfection Face Palette. Bye Bye Pores Blush, Bye Bye Pores Pressed Finish Airbrushed Pressed Powder, Poreless Sunshine in a Compact Matte Bronzer and Perfect Lighting Luminizer are the perfect combination for a subtle summer glow. I'm obsessed with blush and highlighter - these shades are gorgeous. The palette is kinda big, BUT you're getting more product. A must have this upcoming season.

I'm a no-makeup makeup kinda girl. The first and last time I swayed from my barley there eye makeup routine, I applied blue mascara AND had a severe allergic reaction to the blue dye! Back to my skin-tone eye shadows and black mascara... I love nude eye shadow palettes, but they usually contain darker shades for a smokey look and I rarely go beyond a dark skin-toned eye shadow. All my eye shadow palettes are slowly withering in my Cosmocube. Albeit, I'm still addicted to eye shadow palettes and have too many! I'm more inclined to purchase single eye shadows and create my own perfectly nude palette. My barley there eye makeup routine consists of seven pink-toned and skin-toned eye shadows, maybe a little sparkle and lots of layers. BUT, first prep + prime is essential. I'm obsessed with eye creams. I use Benefit Cosmetics It's Potent! Eye Cream or Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Hydrating Eye Cream under my concealer and shadows, and Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream in the AM - yes, I have a wakeup and refresh skincare routine and then a prep + prime for makeup application routine. For anti-aging, I use Neocutis Lumiére Bio-restoraive Serum Powered by PSP and Neocutis Lumiére Eye Cream with PSP before bed. This stuff is amazing! The Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Hydrating Eye Cream To Go is compact and the doe-foot applicator is super soft. The hydrating eye cream is light, silky and the perfect under-makeup moisturizer. Your under-eye area feels smooth and refreshed. This 6 ml travel size lip gloss-like tube (limited edition) is convenient and perfect for travel. I prefer this on-the-go applicator over the original Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Hydrating Eye Cream pot. Primers are essential to an even skin-tone. Yes, your eyelids need a little primer too. Laura Mercier Eye Basics eyelid primer is like foundation for your eyelids. This primer is available in six shades - even a pale blue to brighten your lids. The foundation-like primer is creamy, conceals discoloration and creates the perfect base for eye-makeup. Eyelid primer is a must-have for the perfect nude(ish) look. Back to my perfectly procured list of barely there shadows. I have to admit, I'm not a huge M.A.C fan, but the pink and skin-tone eye shadow selection is vast. The on-trend shades are gorgeous and the pigmented eye shadows last all day on your lids. I typically start with the lightest shade, apply pink-tone eye shadow to my lids and then two darker shades at the outer corner of my eyelids and in the crease. The final look is subtle, but makes my eyes appear uniform and brighter. Apply Brulé satin eye shadow all over (up to your brow), Orb satin eye shadow all over (up to your brow), Malt matte eye shadow from the crease to your lashes, Grain satin eye shadow along the crease and blend Arena satin eye shadow from the outer corner and along the crease. Gorgeous! The subtle layers create dimension and elevate your natural, no-makeup makeup look. I have been a fan of Sephora Collection eye shadows for years. The selection 'was' vast, the eye shadows are inexpensive and the pink-toned shades met my eye-makeup needs. There doesn't seem to be a big selection of the Colorful shadows anymore? Sephora still creates beautiful shadow palettes, but the single eye shadows are becoming obsolete. Bummer, cause I love the Sephora Colorful luster matte shadow in Desert Rose. The light pink shade is perfect for those 'I don't have time for makeup' days. The Sephora Colorful glitter eye shadow in Walking in the Sand is a similar pink shade but has a little sparkle. I use this eye shadow to highlight the center or inner corner of my lids. This one is on sale at Spehora.com - Imma stock up. I kinda wish I was aware that Sephora is discontinuing the Colorful eye shadow collection before I included two of my favorites in this list, BUT you can use these shades as a reference.. AND, it takes forever to shoot and edit these photos - Sephora Colorful eye shadows shall remain on my perfectly procured barely there eye makeup list. ![]()
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The gorgeous and unique selection of handbags by my favorite designers this season is gonna bankrupt me. I'm addicted to handbags (seriously). I'd give up a whole lot of luxuries to purchase a few new handbags each season. Twice a year, I go through my closet and choose handbags and shoes that I don't LOVE anymore and list them on eBay - this is a great way to make some extra money, so I can afford my hangdbag addiction. I have so many amazing handbags, but the sensation of buying something new, limited edition and on-trend gives me too much pleasure. The Chloé Roy double clutch handbag (available at Chloé) was my first handbag obsession this season. The detachable clutches are linked with pale gold-tone rings. You can wear these clutches separately, BUT I'm not sure why you would - that's not exciting. The double clutch design has a top handle and shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is detachable and Chloé will release new colors throughout the season. I love the contrast of the blue strap against the olive green and beige leather clutches, but it's not available yet. YES, I purchased this bag in New York a few weeks ago. This unique design is a must-have Chloé handbag(s). I'm also addicted to sunglasses. Especially, Chloé sunglasses. These Chloé gold-tone sunglasses (available at Intermix) have a horn brow bridge and earpiece. This design is smaller than the typical Chloé sunglass style and I do love oversized sunglasses, BUT the horn detail is a delicate touch to the otherwise masculine aviator style. I'm in to socks these days. Socks that run a little higher than my sock-style boots and socks that would look great inside pumps or sandals. Of course, if you don a sock with high-heeled sandals, it's got to be light and feminine. These Emilio Cavallini metallic striped diamond net socks (available at Intermix) are perfect. I have a wedding in May and plan to wear these socks with my Azure Aniline (baby blue), suede Nudistrong Stuart Weitzman sandals. If you follow my blog and personal style, you know I LOVE sock-style boots. These Emilio Cavallini varsity stripe ankle socks (available at Intermix) slightly show the white and black stripe beneath my boots and adds a little sporty-chic vibe. Pair this look with joggers and an oversized sweatshirt. The Kendall + Kylie Alana bootie (available at Revolve) is special. These shear, suede and mesh boots would look great with dresses and even joggers (yeah, I have a sweatpants obsession too). I'm not sure how I feel about showcasing my toes in a shear shoe (that can get ugly real fast), but they're gorgeous nevertheless. Fendi to me is the Porsche of handbags. Most seasons (not all of them), I watch the show, screen shot looks and wait patiently for the handbags to hit the Fendi boutiques. AND the strap you collection is amazing! The embellished straps attach to most Fendi bags - I love this! The contrast of this light brown and green palm tree-like Fendi strap (available at Fendi) against this feminine floral embellished, multi-color Fendi runway shopper (available at Fendi) is perfection. Yeah, I paired the two - they don't belong together, but look amazing holding hands. The muted flower print mesh of the shopper and jungle-esque vibe of the strap says Spring is here, nature is beautiful and I look good carrying this unique fusion of Fendi accessories. May the fashion gods shine down (or my husband) and bless me with this Fendi runway shopper and exotic strap. ![]()
