I was curating the perfect collection of clothes and accessories for a trip to Paris and Amsterdam in June. THAT'S NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE! I guess I'll have to model the 20+ looks in the house. Here's a few of the stand-out pieces in my "cancelled trip to Europe" suitcase.
I had to move mountains to get these Dior D-Trap ankle boots (available at Dior). These fishnet cutout boots were a key piece on the runway. The reinvented combat boot has a leather flap with double buckles and a few signature Dior features - the bee, gold Christian Dior logo and black star on the sole. These boots would have turned heads in Paris - maybe next year..
I'm a HUGE fan of Moschino t-shirts. They're high quality and make a statement. I was planning to pair this Moschino BULLCHIC! t-shirt (available at Farfetch) with a Tibi turquoise jacquard midi skirt and the Dior D-Trap boots. It would have been my Carrie Bradshaw in Paris moment. No worries - this t-shirt will not go to waste.
My sunglasses collection is overflowing, BUT I managed to fit one more pair in there. These DiorCamp aviator sunglasses (available at Farfetch) were made for me. The straight pink arms don the CD logo and the slightly tinted pink lens adds sofiticaticon. LOVE!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to snag this Christian Dior Book Tote (available at Dior). It is gorgeous. The Toile de Jouy embroidered pattern was inspired by Mr. Dior's muse. I love the complexity of the pattern, along with the grey shades and Christian Dior signature on the front.
The Dior book tote is timeless and while it is reinvented each season, the old ones never go out of style. Interesting fact - you can collapse these totes and pack them nicely in your suitcase.
The iconic Moschino teddy bear has a three dimensional effect and a playful vibe. The teddy bear makes an appearance each season and is super cute. I like that this one is bursting through a piece of art. From a fashion obsessed state of mind - this Moschino teddy bear t-shirt (available at Farfetch) is a piece of art.
I have a very basic hairstyle - a slightly slanted bob, colored black. It's chic, but you can't do much with it. Albeit, hair clips do add a little flare. I purchased this Off-White two-toned hair clip (available at Revolve) to hold my tiny strands together and add a little contrast. The white and black clip holds my thin hair nicely and looks great against my black hair.

We popped out for a quick jaunt around the block to capture a few Mother's Day photos and I finally debuted my Diorcamp boots - YAY! I'm wearing Dior sunglasses, Free People Kelly Washed set (tie-dye sweater and shorts), Dior J'adior cotton oblique bracelet set and Dior Diorcamp boots. Romi is wearing All Saints and Danielle Guizio. The balloon flower arrangement is by Balloons by Zippy.

My usual Must-Haves list is comprised of designer clothing and accessories that I have-to-have or am lusting over and can't afford. These days, the must-have items on my list are necessary beauty products during a pandemic. Never thought I'd say that!
I'm sensitive to scents and hate the smell of hand sanitizer, but it's a necessary product to have on hand! I was so happy when NCLA Beauty launched a small lineup of Hands Clean sanitizer available in lavender, eucalyptus, watermelon and unscented. You can pre-order these little bottles of hand sanitizer at Revolve.
I got lip fillers (and botox) a few days before the stay-at-home order came into effect AND my lips are perfect - BUT, now I have to wear a face mask. Enough said! I'm happy to see many of my favorite clothing brands producing face masks - I know the quality is there. I pre-ordered three cute GRLFRND masks at Revolve.
The best place to order cheeky, cloth face masks is Etsy. You can also order personalized masks. If you want a hefty mask with replaceable filters, there are many online stores to choose from. I believe face masks will be around for a while and everyone should have at least one.
It seems like many people are struggling with DIY beauty these days. Most rely on hair, nail and tanning salons to keep their beauty in check. Fortunately, I prefer to do my own gel nails and apply self tanner at home. I do however get my hair colored every three weeks and had to learn a new skill during these unusual times.
dpHUE is my go-to hair coloring brand. The dpHUE root touch-up kit is easy to use, the color is perfect and the solution completely covers roots (even greys). Paired with the dpHUE gloss, this color touch-up duo is perfect for someone who requires single process coloring. I posted a lengthy DIY root touch-up video a few weeks ago - Scroll down a little..
Another necessary step in most beauty routines is waxing or threading the upper lip and eyebrows. The Tweezerman Smooth Finish Facial Hair Remover is an excellent DIY threading tool. You simply twist the handles, while gliding the coil spring along your upper-lip. It's painful, but does a great job removing unwanted hair. You can purchase this Tweezerman beauty tool at Sephora.
Being able to do your own nails is a necessary skill to have. You never know when your go-to salons (and the entire world) may close for months!
I was introduced to gel nails a few years ago and went to the salon four times before deciding to do it myself. I purchased gel polish in a variety of nude shades, base and top coat polish, remover, foils and an LED nail lamp. My go-to brand is CND.
I recently discovered Static Nails. The lineup includes reusable press-on nails (I gotta try these) and long-wear polish that promises to last up to 10 days. The shades are gorgeous and it seems like either one would be easier than applying/removing gel polish. Of course, I have a few items in my cart!
Admittedly, I like tanning beds. BUT, the last place I wanna be is baking inside a horizontal UV radiation bed that someone else just laid in. SO, I'm going back to DIY self-tanning. My go-to brand is St. Tropez. I've been using it for years. BUT, as of late, I'm experimenting with new brands. I'm going to apply Luna Bronze Self Tanning Lotion later today..
This process takes a little practice. I suggest purchasing a light color, a tanning mitt and body exfoliator. Read the instructions carefully and stay away from water and excessive activities that will make you sweat for at least 6 hours.
Applying self-tanner is a quick way to enhance your stay-at-home skin. On the bright side, if you screw it up, nobody will see it - Unless you post pics.

I'm planning a few vacations this summer - The first being a ten-day road trip to three southern cities. I can't wait! The downside to road trips is the limited space for luggage, so my crew decided on one carry-on and one knapsack per person. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! My Toy Poodle, Teddy, can fill a carry-on suitcase on his own (he's packing lots of toys). Luckily, I found this oversized tote..
I'm obsessed with this Gucci Logo Top Handle Tote (available at Gucci). The light pink rubber is the perfect shade for summer. This tote is HUGE and great for road trips. I struggle to fit everything in my small suitcase, so an oversized tote is essential for extended vacations. The rubber is thick and structured to resemble a vintage beach bag. The front of the tote is embossed with the Gucci vintage logo and the bottom embossed with "XXV", "Sine Amore Nihil", "Summer MMXVIII" and "Guccification". LOVE!
These "Walk'In'Dior" low-top trainers in white canvas (available in Dior boutiques only) are from the Dior 2018 Cruise Show and impossible to get. The canvas sneakers have a rubber sole, gold-tone hardware and don "Cristian Dior J'Adour" printed laces. LOVE!
These Chloé gold-tone sunglasses (available at Intermix) have a horn brow bridge and earpiece. This design is smaller than the typical Chloé sunglass style and I do love oversized sunglasses, BUT the horn detail is a delicate touch to the otherwise masculine aviator style. I posted these sunnies in a previous 'I'm Coveting..' post and still fancy a pair. HINT HINT..
The latest Fenty Puma by Rhianna collection is "beachy and badass". I'm a big fan of Fenty and can't wait to see what Creative Director, Rhianna, will design each season.
These surf-inspired Fenty women's Terrycloth dolphin shorts (available at Puma) look so comfy. The checkered print along the back waistband gives these shorts a motocross vibe and this color will look great against sun-kissed skin. These shorts are also available in vibrant blue and cream.
My favorite accessory on this months' "I'm Coveting.." post are these Rylee skinny calfskin boots by Chloé (available at NET-A-PORTER). The cloudy yellow shade is gorgeous. These slightly glossed, lace-up boots have a buckle at the top and across the vamp. The cutouts and buckles give these Rylee boots a warrior princess vibe. They're also available in medium - ankle boot style.
The little angels screen print on this Fiorucci Vintage Angels cropped Tee (available at Revolve Clothing) is kinda strange, but I like it. I purchased the Fiorucci sweatshirt in blue light with this print and can't wait to wear it on my road trip. The boxy sweatshirt style is a little shorter than your average sweatshirt, but the material is cozy. I'm not a crop top kinda girl, but I like this print. This angels printed tee is feminine and the pale pink shade is perfect for summer.

Blackheads are considered a mild form of acne caused by clogged hair follicles. The sebum (oil) that is produced in the hair follicle, combined with dead skin cells, pushes to the surface creating a tiny bump. Once the open hair folicle, oil and dead skin cells reach air, it oxidizes and turns black. You have approximately five million hair follicles on your body and hundreds of thousands on your face. The chances that you are going to experience blackheads is super high.
Other than expensive in-office treatments, I have yet to find an at-home solution to combat blackheads. I have very small blackheads and nothing works for me. I exfoliate and that helps a bit. I also use nose strips once and while - they pull out some of the impurities, but nothing miraculous.
In addition to the extensive clothing and accessories selection, my favorite online shop, Revolve, has a new'ish' beauty department. Many of the products are similar to Sephora, but there are also unique cosmetics that I've never seen or heard of. The Tomymoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm & Corsx Blackhead Silk Finger Ball are two products I had to try..
The self-heating Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm by Tonymoly feels nice and relaxing. The product contains charcoal to remove impurities and provides antibacterial qualities. It also contains sea salt to remove residue and egg yolk to moisturize your skin.
Apply a little to the desired area and gently massage for 3-5 minutes. Yeah, FIVE minutes! It's a bit long, but the self-heating quality makes you feel like something is happening.. Once the product turns opaque white, rinse with warm water. After what felt like forever massaging the product onto my skin, I rinsed and NOTHING! My tiny blackheads were still there and my skin didn't appear any different. Hmm.. I guess my expectations were a little too high?
Product scents are a big deciding factor for me and the scent of this steam balm is too strong. It's floral-like, but kind of citrus? I can't explain it, but I can tell you it's not nice. AND you're applying this product to your face, so the scent is right there ON YOUR NOSE.
Corsx Blackhead Silk Finger Balls are little finger mitts made from raw silk cocoons. The natural fibre exfoliates and contains ceracin - a protein that removes skin waste (blackheads and impurities). These finger balls also help maintain moisture in your skin.
These little mitts are fun! Soften the finger ball by soaking it in warm water for a few minutes. Then place the ball on your index finger and gently massage the desired area. You can rinse the finger ball and reuse up to three times, but I wouldn't recommend it - eww! Your essentially removing blackheads from clogged pores onto the finger ball - throw it away when you're done!
The process felt nice and it was fun to try something as unique and interesting as raw silk cocoons. Albeit, I didn't see a change in my skin. My micro blackheads are still there. I will however continue to use these finger mitts once or twice a week just for fun. Maybe I'll see a difference overtime?

Friends are asking me for advice on their holiday party outfits and I say Sequins and glitter. Christmas and glitter go together like, umm.. Christmas and glitter. I decorated my house and put my tree up weeks ago - there's glitter everywhere. My poor little puppy has glitter in his fur! He also spent the first few days licking glitter off the glitter embellished wrapping paper. Umm.. you can imagine.
The holiday season is the perfect opportunity to throw on some sequins, wear red (I never wear red), and go way overboard with your makeup. This is the time shine (insert wink).
I do suggest you don a sequin dress or glittery shoes to your parties, but there are also some unconventional sequin styles out there for everyday wear. Ports 1961 black and army green oversized wool sweater (available at Farfetch) is a 'sequin statement'. LOVE. This oversized sequin embellished sweater is perfect for a day event. Paired with fitted jeans and booties, this look is festive and 'really' unique.
My girlfriend wore these sequin embellished boots while we were in Vegas and she rocked it. They're loud and fabulous (maybe not for everyone). Her look inspired me to post some glitter on the blog. Steve Madden's take on the Saint Laurent Niki over-the-knee crystal boots is perfect for the rest of us that can't afford $10,000 boots. The crystal embellished textile of these Crushing boots by Steve Madden will add a little festive sparkle to your look. Pair these with fitted jeans and an oversized wool sweater for the perfect holiday season day look.
Fashionable backpacks are having a moment. This holiday season pair your party dress with a small, glittery backpack. You can dance, wave your arms around like crazy and your stuff is tucked safely away in your stylish backpack. This gold-tone glitter backpack by Love Mochino (available at Farfetch) is the perfect party accessory.
I'm obsessed with these jeans - Dolce & Gabbana sequin hem cropped flare jeans (available at Farfetch) are casually chic. The gold-tone sequin hem contrasts the dark blue shade and paired with the distressed edge - this style says 'I'm trendy, I'm sparkly and I'm just down right f**kin' cool'.

I ordered a pair of Sandy Leggings by Mother from Revolve thinking leggings don't look great on me, but I'll try them anyway. I am beyond impressed with the fit of these leggings - my butt has never looked so good! The material resembles matte faux leather and looks great under a long shirttail button-down and a comfy wool cardigan. Leather pants are on trend this season, but too expensive - the Sandy legging is a great alternative. Splurge and get yourself a pair of these leggings, you will luv them!
You can purchase these leggings at www.revolveclothing.com (pictured here) or www.shopbop.com.
